A dinner lecture examining several contested areas of paediatric dentistry where the evidence base is incomplete or conflicting.
Topics include the evidence and debate around fluoride and IQ, the case for community water fluoridation, effectiveness of topical fluoride and silver diamine fluoride, current evidence-based indications for surgical treatment of tongue and lip ties, and use of general anaesthesia in paediatric dentistry, including neurodevelopmental considerations and the impact of treatment delays.
Presented by a specialist paediatric dentist and academic, with a three-course meal included.
